Subject: RE: best way to check seed depth

St George IL
I was taught many years ago by my father in law. Always keep a 2 inch piece of angle iron about as long as the toolbox in the toolbox. Use the angle to sweep away dirt in the row. In my opinion perfect depth is when the top of the flat is flush with the top, and the bottom is just tickling the seed. I haven't found a better way or faster way to check.
