Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska
Jon. Maybe the market won't take note for awhile but didn't this severely damage a LOT of wheat? Here in southern NE our wheat was close to flag leaf stage and with just 5" of snow so far it has knocked a lot of it down. Past experience tells me it won't come back up very well. I can't imagine the damage to wheat further along. Forget the freeze damage possibility for now, laying wheat down flat on the ground does a LOT of damage to yield too.
