central mo | I wouldnt want to fool with online backups.
-They hog resources when they run.
-You dont know at all "physically" where your files are getting backed up to.
-You dont know the security measures the owner of the site your backing up to has taken. (We all know "terms and conditions" agreements are bulletproof .... yea right!)
-They cost money
-As said before, "what if they go belly-up?
Even if you do stick with Win98, you should probably, even though it will be painstakingly annoying get a thumb drive or external hard drive, install the necessary drivers to handle the hardware and backup to your own personal drive.
There are even scripts now that will, once a thumb drive is detected, write whole directories to it without any direction from the user.
