Subject: Ammonia Nitrate

Dallas Center IA 515-720-2463
Spencer Mr N

Ammonia Nitrate, 33% nitrogen.

Spener Mr N was advertised a lot in the 1950s, before anhydrous ammonia and liquid nitrogen became comman.
In Iowa they had a lot of ads on WHO radio and Wallaces Farmer.

In those days when about the only fertilizer most ground received was manure, some nitrogen would often really bump up the corn yield.
Nothing wrong with manure, just there was never enough. Especially on a no livestock grain farm.

With what happened in Oklahoma City back in the 90s, can you still get ammonia nitrate?
