I have one that started acting like that. I figured there must be something wrong inside, so I took it apart. There's a small o-ring in the priming piston that was worn. I think I ordered one from ereplacementparts.com. Works like new now. You might be able to find an o-ring that fits off the shelf somewhere. It's very small
