Subject: CORS w/ Deere system via trimble bridge

I am currently running a GS2 with original starfire reciever (sf1 signal) and have been considering equipment to allow me to use the NY DOT CORS network. I have found this site to be the best source of information I can find. From what I have read JD components are not compatible with any CORS network?
So I thought my only option was a MOJO system to replace my reciever (sounded too expensive) or switch to trimble components (but I need the GS2 to run JD sprayer and JD planter). So I talked to a local trimble dealer and he says that I could use their "brigde" he called it(modem?) to recieve the CORS signal and send a wireless correction signal to my SF reciever as long as my components are upgraded to RTK. It would be a stand alone system that could sit in a pickup on the side of the field or ride along in the tractor cab but not connected to any jd harness. He was sure this was possible and pretty sure he could find a way to wire it into the jd system (maybe for faster signal transmition?) Either way he said I would need wireless plan through a cell phone service to acces the CORS signal.
Hope this makes sense I'm not sure I fully understand it but this would be the difference between $10000 (mojo) or $3000 (trimble bridge).
Has anyone ever heard of this being done? or does it sound possible? if so what would be the difference between the two scenarios accuracy and reliability.
Thanks!
