Rockford, IL/Beloit, WI | Until $ change hands the sale is not final. Same with the "Fake News" all over the place these days, "Fake Buyers" are also popping up in every corner if you speak to a shady seller. If it was legit and a steal it would not stay listed for very long.
As mentioned complete a standard bill of sale with both the buyer and seller signing it. It's used to protect each party. Be as detailed in that as you can using S/N's, model, make so there are no questions what is being sold. Most auctioneering companies or dealers state a item is sold "AS IS" in their descriptions for a reason.
