What I saw as the problem or (I will admit what caught me) was cash was leading the board by $10 or+ that. Cattle would just BE if contracted them with a negative basis, but if left open you had a chance by looking at cash of making $150 a head. So you contract half leave other half open on cash by time they were ready cash came to board, board had dropped $20+ and now you lost $300+ a head on 2nd half that was open. That thing was plain ugly and dropped faster then on black Fri in 29. It caught a lot of people. A guy easily lost 3 times what he made in 13-14.
