SW MN - mt. lake/windom | Some expenses that you are missing are: labor @5.5/space, site upkeep @.5 per space, rendering/composting @.25-.5 per space, supplies @ .2 per space. The taxes value may be a little high, I do believe there is a tax reduction for manure containment value that one should receive and ag use tax credit.
Currently the traditional system cashlow overview is 16$ of expenses per space and 40$ of revenue to generate about 8% return on investment at 300$ per space cost pre manure value return.
I don't have any experience with liquid feeding systems, I don;t know how much labor cost it adds, but sounds like from manure talk you would be running through 2-3 times more product than traditional feed systems. That will add labor cost, electric cost?, repair costs. I would research that extensively before jumping in. Keep in mind, the back side of pork production is a transformation machine, input energy, protein, water and air and output pork protein. If you are inputting 3 time by volume as much product to receive the same output there will be a cost associated with that. | |
