Every major auction has a pile of their equipment. Sells cheap compared to similar stuff on dealers lot.  Is that there marketing plan to cut out middle man? Or did they build huge numbers of cheaply built things that they had no market for and now sell on auctions to liquidate.

It is imported stuff from Mexico. Mennonites from what I've heard, but I don't know. They take stuff that is popular, simple design and copy it. JD 225 offset disk, tandem disk, V-rippers, pull box blades, feeder trailers, header trailers, etc. Ritchie Bros is selling it for them at auctions, and I don't wonder if they aren't dodging some tax/fees on it since I've never seen it sell as 'new'. Everything is always labeled 'unused'.

I think it is fine for what it is. Price is right. The places I've seen other than RB that were selling stuff bought their inventory at RB, but that doesn't mean there isn't other outfits importing the stuff.
