Callao, Missouri | From what I've seen everything likes to grow with oats, most weeds grow well with wheat, and nothing grows well with cereal rye. I had a lot better weed control from rye planted green than wheat.
Dad bought a cover crop roller this year. Planned program is early 2,4-d, dicamba, Sencor
Plant beans and roll
2 weeks later RU and another residual
Reason to wait is to get any weeds that germinate and make it through rye, which will hopefully be flat by then.
