NCND | I get that it drifts after the fact. If your boom can't go below 20" the. I guess a man has to make a decision. Upgrade or pay the premium(or charge the premium) to get the product applied correctly. Where there is a potential problem there is potential to do very well as other posters pointed out. Risk tolerance and the price you want to charge for that is what will determine who does and does not spray it ultimately.
If this thing is as bad as they say we will all be using something else in the future.
