Hasn't anyone ever read a label? Most herbicides give a boom height with 20" being common. Most also say spray under 10mph. Stuff we use in wheat also says do not spray near sensitive crops downwind. So to me the extendimax label is no different.
That all being said maybe no one reads labels and this is first time anyone has and as a result there are panties knotted up the nation wide

@Vailcat, yes we do read the labels and follow the instructions as closely as we can.
However, the Xtendimax label is different: The boom height in there is not an advice but it is mandatory to stay at or below 20" or 24" depending which label you read (Can or US)
Also with common sense we al keep our drift to neighboring crops as low as possible or no drift at all by choosing the right nozzles, pressure, speed, weather conditions, boom height etc.
The problem with Dicamba is the vapor drift!
You have little control about that, it can happen long after you sprayed it.
Now with Xtendimax, Monsanto claims they reduce that vapor drift by 75 % but many people have their doubts.
And because soybeans are one of the most sensitive plants to dicamba it's every-bodies guess how this stuff will work out.
But in my opinion, if your boom can't go low enough, your off label and therefor liable and your insurance may not be of any help.
