basically it's a technicality of the label... Banvel/Clarity label states something like 14-28 days and in 1" of rain ahead of planting beans... so if you spray Banvel and plant Extend beans a week later you are "off" label. And you kill the neighbors garden and he doesn't like you, you will be in trouble if that neighbor wants to cause trouble.

I'm with you, it's pretty much BS... if you decided to plant Milo instead of Beans then you are "on" label and still can kill the neighbors crop...

To be safe, since the Arkansas debacle they are recommending you stick the label.
