Subject: Re: Narrower Tires for spraying

Germany
I put up with the effort to swap the 18.4R38 with 12.4R46 on my 100 HP tractor every spraying season, when crops are growing taller. We are spraying fungicides on small grains a couple of times. It even WOULD pay off, if grain prices WOULD not have dropped...
Those "angle grinder discs" are a pain on the road and worthless for tillage. I have a mounted 1200 ltr. sprayer, carrying the load is not an issue if you inflate them enough.
I used them as duals with the 18.4 for seeding a couple of years, but combining such different tires is ineffective, though the unloaded diameter is alike.
