I have a hydraulic sprayer pump and use a JD 4430. On days over 80 degrees, the hyd hoses get so hot I can't touch them. When I've used our 4450 it doesn't get nearly as hot.
According to tractordata, the AC 7040 has the same pump flow as my 4430, but a lot larger capacity, so maybe it won't get as hot.
