It really hard to see. More of just a narrow crack between front cover and water pump. The problem is the seal is made to weep a small amount to lube the seal, not good in dusty conditions. On our dozer it was plugged and was leaking in the crankcase. Replaced it with a cat reman and changed the oil. Changed the oil again after about 15 hours. Figured an extra oil change was cheap insurance.
