North Central Illinois | So is it your position that people shouldn't fly in airplanes because we don't have wings? As someone else said turn off the TV if it bothers you. I quit watching most TV news a few years ago because it was only about 30% news and the rest is garbage. A prime example is WGN News out of Chicago. They used to have a really good noon news program. Twenty or thirty years ago we would sit down to dinner every noon hour and watch the noon news. It was basic news with a little weather and sports mixed in. Somewhere along the line the people in charge decided that people wanted to be entertained while listening to the news. Now they have stupid crap like cooking segments with someone actually in the studio cooking or a band playing in the studio and other crap like that. If I wanted to be entertained I would turn something one besides the news. I quite watching the noon news about ten years ago. It really is pathetic now. | |
