west michigan | We built ours with four 12 foot wide bays. Building is 36 feet deep and each bay easily holds a semi load of anything. Concrete walls are 8 feet high with stud wall on top, back wall is 12 feet total height, front I think is 20 feet. We extended the roof over the front to help keep rain and snow out. Floor is slopes slightly from back to front inside and then the approach slopes a little more aggressively away, can't remember the exact slope. We started with a 30 foot pad out front, and later extended it to 80 feet for a mixing pad. The more room you can give trucks the better. Our roof height is not high enough for an end dump to get all the way in, but it hasn't been a problem because most of our feeds comes in on auger truck or belt trailer.
I would suggest building it with more bays than you think you'll need, nice to have an empty bay just in case an opportunity comes up. Plus you can always find something to put in there!
