Kw if you're referring to the valve on top of the expansion tank it is an air eliminator. It was 10 years before I added any. The simplest method I have heard it a gear pump on an electric drill. I used distilled water to mix with the antifreeze. Total liquid capacity was only about 35 gallons. Shop is 60 X 72. 4500 feet of 1/2 pipe.
