Nw Iowa | We put some 11.22.5 used low profile tires on ours with a flat tread. If I remember right original tires were about 8" across ( maybe less) and the truck tires were almost 10" across. I know we figured we gained a full extra tire on main frame and yes it did make a difference. We have a 500 gal fert tank and it carried planter much better. The original tires are almost v shaped and truck tires have a very flat tread. Some truck tires have a flatter tread than others. I was surprised when we measured used tires how much differance there was on the width of tread with same size tire. | |
