I will just echo 2 key points:
Buy quality - from links like Mike posted - you can get a quality Amerex / Buckeye etc extinguisher with good valves and O rings for less money then you can buy the cheap garbage Kidde stuff at Menards or the like.
Get a water extinguisher or two or more (kind of addicting too).
Very versatile tool to have around. Could even partially wash out a radiator in a pinch or other tasks. Great for welding to cool or soak down a area before or after a repair. Will penetrate and cool chaff / buildup to get to the root of a fire. | |
