Dayton, IA | As a producer I would think of it more like being the driver and not class specific. You can tinker in the shop all you want, but at some time you have have to go to a pull and let the clutch out. You need to make several runs and average them to really know how your tractor is pulling.
I read posts on here talking about highs and lows and every one brags a lot but the exciting highs are never on 100% of a crop nor the lows. No matter how much smoke blowing goes on, most farmers average sale prices are pretty close for the year, relative to local basis.
Everyone has a good run and wins a pull, but the season awards tighten up the race.
