| The problem with your map SAT is that it is dated June 7. Here we had an inch of rain the first day or 2 of June, then nothing until the last couple days of June. In between we had several days in the mid 90's with 15-20 mph winds. In a good sized area we were in a "miniature drought". Lucky for us the weather turned on a dime and we got a long slow 4 inchs of rain on July 4 weekend, which is just unheard of. It then rained the rest of the summer. I still believe our corn avg 175 vs 200 in 2014 because of that hot dry period in June, and overall warm temps throughout the summer. Post what ever map you want but those of us down here know we were only a couple weeks away from a "serious" drought. Had this area stayed dry and expand north 4.50 would not have been the high last summer. | |
