I'll chime right in with Jon and Ernie on the Mystic.....best stuff I have found to cool / lube cutting tooling, and I have tried plenty of others, but I am still partial to WD40 for aluminum.

When drilling SS, go slow.

I have always like Winter's bits, and the ones from McMaster as well.
Per previous posts from Ag Talk, I just bought my 1st set of HF bits a couple of weeks ago, and will soon be putting them to the test.

Be cautious when using cobalt bits, they are hard and brittle, cut good, great in drill press and mag drill, but they dont like that reaming a hole once you are thru.

Agree with reply above about the carbide masonry bits too, if sharpened correctly and run slow and lubed liberally, they will bore thru some very hard material.
