I'm always a little hesitant to make links to actual stuff I bought for fear it won't live up to someone elses expectations or needs.

I hope the items I linked will serve you well for your application and I agree chasing down an elusive specialty cable is the worst or having to wait until Monday morning cause everyone is closed on the weekend.

That is partially what prompted me to go the route I did and to try and get some universality to type of connections and cable that would be needed.
