Been thinking of doing a 2208 or 2408 as well. Will be on an 8010. How fast do you feel you can drive before chopping performance gets too bad? Have also considered a 12 row and slowing down but it's nice with the 8 to be able to go 3/4 of a round and dump in cart on way to truck most times.


I feel that chopping quality starts to taper off above 4.5 mph. Of course it also depends on the variety. This last year, I had 1 variety that left long stalks and another that turned to confetti no matter what speed I went.
