What was the advice from reliable sources?
What was the specific reason they recommended you upgrade?
Future problems with Paradyme and Geosteer? No support?

The advice was to get out from under with GeoSteer as others had problems. The deal allowed me to move from an Integra to an InCommand at the same time. There were extras involved that I hadn't counted on. I had to buy an unlock from Ag Leader so SteerCommand would work with my Deere tractor through Deere's CAN system. The GeoSteer I traded in, which went back to Ag Leader, had this unlock so I paid for that idea twice. When I complained to the company about having to buy that unlock twice for the same tractor, the reply was that the unlock money went indirectly to Deere so there was no way around it. I also needed to get a multi-product unlock for the InCommand for use with my planter. Since my Integra had it, I got a somewhat better deal on the trade for the Integra to InCommand but the increase in trade-in value due to the unlock did not completely offset the price of the unlock on the InCommand. |
