Had a 1865 , they're a good simple round baler, sometimes had a hard time to get it to feed in to start a new bale on long fescue or Johnson grass , don't think it would do good on green hay. Some tough hay I remember it would feed in and go right out the back gate between the rollers. Made a firm bale but not a tight bale like the newer balers.
