Subject: if the corn roots can get to 30" fert they can get to 60" (pic)

It's just 15" to the fertilizer in either system whether you side dress on 30's or 60's.

Can the roots on one side of the plant gather enough fert while the other side anchors the plant, gets moisture p and k etc???

Just thinking out loud. Some customers have done very well side dressing N on 60" here's a photo of just side dressed every other row (=60") spring strip tilled corn on corn. Also a photo of the simple setup they use to apply it on 60's. Fewer knives = less draft = singles = less compaction & les HP. They were able to get thru the c on c strip tilled residue as shown.
