Subject: RE: Labor cost erecting pole barn.

SE SD
I can drive a tractor, does that meen I can farm?
Not trying to be mean but I'd hardly consider a guy that can drive a forklift or has built two polebarns a contractor that knows what he's doing .
Nor am I saying you should pay anyone anything.
If you don't like the price of a service then you can excersise the right to do it yourself.
If I'm not willing to build for under $3 are you going to put a gun to my head?
A good contractors that has a demand for his services does not depend on you to make his living.
He is busy, booked and can put his own price on his services.
I'll say it again , here it's 3-$5 a square ft .
Large buildings are on the bottom end of that number.
If it's a large building with straight shell, no wainscot, overhang ,minimum doors and windows you may get by around $2.80 .
A contractor that can put true lines on a large polebarn
Knows his stuff .
Anyone that has ever built one knows that.
