| According to my soil test they recomend that I put out all my P&K in the spring with some nitrogen and then after each cutting of bermuda grass hay put out about 100# of nitrogen. This is all calculated by my yield goal. My soil is sandy and I am afraid of the P&K leaching so should I split the application of P&K? Usually cut about 4 or 5 times a year. I know that they are saying that for every ton of dry matter apply 10# of P and 30# of K and 40# of N that is after the soil is up to where it is supposed to be. Should I apply the P&K early in the spring say before green up and then after green up apply the N and put the N on after each cutting for the season? I am trying to figure out a good fertilize program that will give maximum yield and see if I can talk Miss Mother nature into helping out also. Thanks | |
