Thanks for the link anybody have a source for a cable sheath stripping tool. Seems I've seen some that you rotate around the sheath of larger cables which scores or cuts part way through without actually cutting into the fine wires inside.
Not sure I am searching using the right description. Most seem designed for smaller gauge wire and not anything like 2/0 and up
I have a Knipex version, I know Greenlee and others have similar tools as well. Adjustable cut depth, rotate around cable, then twist 90* and it will slit the insulation lengthwise. Works great, especially for dismantling bundled wires without nicking them by accident. Also have one of their knives with the protector that works great for long slits.
