Years ago some pranksters cut 'bigfoot' plywood feet out and tracked the river where locals fished.  Scared the first who saw it, but it didn't take long for them to figure out they were man made.

Other story is teenagers in the 60's early 70's 'tin foiling' the traffic.  They took tin foil and wrapped them selves in it.  Waited in a creek and walked across the road when a car was coming but still too far away to really get a good look, just barely visible in the headlights.  They never got caught and still laugh about it to this day.  I wonder what those people thought about seeing a tin foil person walking across the road in west Texas.
