For battery cables I prefer welding cable myself as its more flexible due to the smaller strands, plus if you look at the peak and rated amp loads its able to handle much more. The down side is that its more expensive per foot than regular battery cable. I've not come across a place that sells it by the foot for less than weldingsupply.com, plus they don't have minimum order quantities. I was going to order some from Waytek since I was ordering my lugs from them, but they had a 250ft minimum order quantity for the wire I needed. Kicker was I only needed 25ft.
