Northern Illinois | I think bean acres will be up.
We are about $1 higher on bean prices today vs a year ago
Corn prices are about steady to a year ago
In my area there was less N put on last fall so people can switch
Last year in the corn belt there were some fantastic bean yields. For a few years the bean yield bump was lagging the corn bump but now bean yields seem to be catching up.
The reality of the situation has set in with farmers that times may be difficult for corn production but beans will still cash flow at todays market
