Buxton ND | Totally agree with KK and Maize with futures dipping lower. Do we need to talk about the basis push in a past tense mode ? ? ? Gonna take a wild guess that was the best local bids for 2016 crop are in the rear view mirror.
It was kinda fun watching the local unit loaders bids/local E plant bids this past summer and coming into corn harvest. That plant down on the SD/ND border was VERY SHORT bought corn coming into Sept. I just had to call and play with them a tad just for fun ! ! ! Their basis was up/down/back/forth/in and out and every which way to lose playing games til its went POOF to a poor harvest basis which only got worse. The Jamestown plants buyer I heard was looking for a new job ? ? ? One local, and get this "Ran Out" of corn, YES the bins were swept empty, trouble is they were suppose to be swept empty...... | |
