just a tish NE of central ND
I dont think it is worth it to apply, I like freedom of doing what I want a little too much to tie myself up with the program, it seems quite strict as mulch till wont even quallify because of too much disturbance of the soil. I believe you must have less than 30 percent disturbance in your feilds. The payments just arent good enough. From what I can figure, even if after working/ seeding and your ground is heavily covered with trash, you will be in violation since you disturbed too much soil under that trash if your opener disturbance are more than 30 percent of opener spaceing. A 3 inch opener at 10 inch spaceing(30 percent coverage) may cause too much ground disturbance depending on conditions.
Check it out on the ND farmers union web sight.
