Subject: Selling grain at end of the year need income in 16 but check will be 17


west of Omaha NE
Sold grain today but check will be dated 2017 need income in 16 but it is sold at adm so they cannt make it out today. My tax advisor said I should be okay because I sold it and lost count of the grain in December. What to guys think?
