Subject: RE: JOHN DEERE 7230 Preimum vs standard

Oregon
We just bought a used 6430 with the Mauer orchard cab. They don't come in premium, only standard. We have been getting a few parts for it regarding the scv valves. Basically, if you want to expect it to be a John Deere it better be aa premium. Deere found ways to go cheap on the hydraulics...one of the things that has set Deere ahead sincesince 1961 and now they are throwing that away. It's tricky for long time Deere customers since they have long established expectations. The models should be named " normal" and "cheapo". That said, the standards could be ordered with upgraded hydraulic pumps, scv valves and scv couplers. (yes, they are optioned individually) Have the dealer run the serial number for you and print the build codes for you . Then you'll know for sure how it's set up.
