| If you design plans or even modify them and don't get a good architect to draw it out for you, you will have these problems. Architects know what builders can and can't build. They are expensive, but well worth the money.
The next potential problem is being your own builder. This never goes well. It will be the first house you ever built. Bids won't be right. Subcontractors will modify and cut corners because they are not being directed by an experienced builder.
