Are you suggesting that area needs to ban all herbicides?

Movement from inversions and drift are applicator mistakes independent of the herbicide.

A lot of people don't want to admit they have been doing a pretty shotty job of spraying, synthetic auxins do a good job of showing the errors of their way.

I worked retail for 15 years when dicamba was used on most corn acres. The only complaints we ever had were with dicamba. You can do everything right and still have issues.

As a custom sprayer, we were asked this summer to spray a field of Extend beans with Extendimax with Vapor Grip. Beside the beans were tomatoes!!!!!
We thought we had the right equipment and workmanship to do it but I requested at least one CCA from the coop we work for, to come down to witness every aspect of what we were doing.
2 CCA's came down and everybody, including the farmer, agreed that we were doing things right under perfect conditions.
Time of the day 10 AM, wind 4 mph at 60 degrees away from tomatoes, temperatuur 25 C (80 F ?), 15 gpa water, extremely course droplets, speed 8 MPH, stayed away from tomatoes 3 feet.
After we sprayed the field everybody was very satisfied about our work.
2 Weeks later, the one rep from the coop that witnessed us called me and said there was a problem with the tomatoes: Dicamba damage !!!!!!
I went to that field 2 days later and couldn't see a problem but I'm not a tomato grower and didn't walk the whole field either.
I talked to the coop rep couple of weeks ago and asked about this particular case.
Insurance had paid 12 tons per acre @ I guess 120 per ton for 20 acres.
Monsanto can say whatever they want about their Vapor Grip, but I am not spraying their sh.t anymore.
