I don't remember any other herbicide causing anywhere near the drift issues that dicamba did in 2016 and on a very limited number of acres applied. Other than tomatoes and facet, or 2,4-d and cotton, I can't think of any other crop and herbicide with the acute sensitivity of beans and dicambia. These dicamba issues weren't farmer or applicators spraying for the first time. They've been around to block a time or two without creating the disaster that was 2016. We will see what happens in 2017. Maybe everyone can make it work. I hope we can. God know we need every viable option to battle pigweed. If dicamba doesn't do better in 2017 then the EPA need to pull the plug. |
