The drag chains should come with hardware to install. I just used a washer as a spacer and a lock washer to mate up against the bolt/nut. I don't think tack welding would be a good idea, just make sure you tighten the closing wheel bolt/nut. Hope this helps....wait I have different closing wheel arms.
