Subject: RE: New Holland 195 spreader options??

north-central Indiana west of Fulton
Had a Gehl 1410 which is the same as a NH 195 with single web chain and rope pull for 7 years. No problems but had soupier manure and went to a Slinger. Prefured the single web chain over the double we had on an IH 595 for 7 years in the 80s, 90s. Simpler and quicker to shorten the web. Don't like the pintle chain though, a real pain to get to the connecting links and take out a link. Much preferred the t- bar type chains on the 595 and the CaseIH 1580 single chain web spreader we had in between the 595 and the Gehl. We had only a single beater, but we didn't haul much bedded....you probably need a double beater.
