| We pulled a 30' Salford air disc drill home 550 miles with a Ford, F550 4x4 dually. It didn't have the tongue weight as it had front castors. Could only do about 30 to 40 MPH. as it wanted to start to sway the truck, and that was with about 4000lbs. on the truck.Speaking of wives not enjoying the trip, i took mine on her birthday. wasn't much of a bday present but we got to enjoy the scenery across 2 provinces at a pace much slower than usual. Didn't have any upper body injuries, but maybe sore fingers from gripping the dash so tight when the truck started to sway alot on a narrow 2 lane highway. we made it home with no issues at all. | |
