The moisture for corn is only a snapshot of that day. Do you harvest all in one day or do you harvest a dry field and get to the wet field after it dries down later. The moisture penalty is not realistic. A plot could be left longer in the field and you would see the early field penalized for stalk or ear problems. A plot could be harvested early and the late one would be penalized for being wet.
