North Dakota | I have been told that if one has to ask if something is racist, most often it is. I am not Native American so won't comment on that specifically. Imagine being placed in an confined geographical area. Most often the worst land you could imagine. If it was farmable, had precious resources(gold, coal, oil, etc) it wasn't offered or was taken away after it was found. Then you were forced to give up your native language and culture. Then you were given a stipend to live off, which over time you became accustomed to. Very hard to give up because it would mean leaving the safety of your home, family and friends who shared your same culture. I could go on, but by now it should become apparent that it is a complicated situation perpetuated by the country in which they live. Both political parties are responsible for the outcome. They are mostly used by the powers that be for their own gain. Over and over and over again. | |
