The pressure control valve is inside the rockshaft housing behind that swivel fitting. DO NOT plumb any oil out of that supply line before the PCV. Put the power beyond block behind the left hand selective control valve, plumb the joystick,  and do it CORRECTLY. Job done. I should add that what you have heard about plumbing on the right hand side IS POSSIBLE on 50 series and later tractors because the pressure control valve is external in a housing below the right hand battery box. WILL NOT work on 30 or 40 series.

Thanks KTA. Sounds like you know these pretty well.

Just because I like to understand things, would you mind correcting me where I'm wrong? I'm assuming that steel line before the swivel fitting comes directly from the pump? And I'm assuming the pressure control valve somehow has a signal line that goes to the pump somehow controlling pump output?

To me, if that pressure control valve is somehow forcing the pump to maintain say 2,300 PSI, the pressure before and after the pressure control valve would be 2300 PSI so it wouldn't really matter if you tapped off of that steel line.

I'm sure this exposes tons of ignorance but I like learning so if you have time to share how all that really works, I'd appreciate it. If you don't, I'm just going to trust you and use the power beyond block on the left hand SCV.

Thanks.
