Between Omaha and Des Moines, 7 miles South of I80 | Here's a photo, of that cover, you mentioned. My concern might be "where" that oil enters filter area = A. flow goes towards some inner steel piece/part = like a filter's tension spring or endcap OR B: Shoot hydraulic oil right directly at filter's paper pleats, which I can't think would be too good on the filter element, for longevity.
